

IUI International Dance Intensive
10-Day Summer Program

The IUI International Dance Intensive is a 10-day professional training program designed for serious dance students who wish to deepen their technical, artistic and stylistic development in an international environment.
Participants will train daily with experienced teachers in:
• Classical Ballet
• Repertoire
• Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT)
• Contemporary / Modern Dance
• Folk Dance
The program combines intensive technical training, artistic development and cultural exchange, offering dancers a unique opportunity to broaden their artistic perspective.
Daily Training Program
Participants train approximately 6 hours per day (over 50 hours of training during the program).
Daily Schedule:

Classical Ballet Technique — 1.5 hours
Repertoire — 1.5 hours
Lunch Break
Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) — 45 minutes
Modern or Contemporary — 1 hour
Folk Dance — 1 hour
This structure allows dancers to strengthen their technique while expanding their artistic range.
Participants choosing the Full Residential Package will stay in comfortable student residences in double or triple rooms, located close to the training facilities. The residence provides full board and convenient access to the studios.

Faculty
Ivan Kozlov
Artistic Director of Kyiv City Ballet, choreographer and ballet master.
Former Principal Dancer with leading companies including the Mariinsky Theatre, Bolshoi Theatre, National Opera of Ukraine, Boris Eifman Ballet, and Ballet Internationale. During his performing career he appeared on major stages across Europe, North America and Asia.
Laureate of several international ballet competitions.
Member of the International Dance Council (CID – UNESCO) and jury member of international ballet competitions.
Professor at the Institute for Artistic Dance (IUI) and former advisor to the director of ballet at Kyiv Opera.
As a choreographer and artistic leader, he has created and staged productions presented internationally across Europe and North America. His work focuses on the development of classical technique, repertoire and professional stage experience for young dancers.


Katya Kozlova
Associate Artistic Director and Repetiteur of Kyiv City Ballet and faculty member of InDanceIntense.
Recently completed the Harvard Crossover into Business Program for Professional Athletes and Performing Artists and is currently studying in the Royal Academy of Dance’s Professional Dancers’ Graduate Teaching Diploma program.
Her work has been featured in major international media including National Geographic, Harper’s Bazaar, Le Figaro, NBC, CNN and The Times.
Before transitioning into leadership and teaching, she performed internationally as a professional ballet dancer. Throughout her performing career she experienced the profession of a ballerina at every level — from corps de ballet to leading roles — working with ballet companies and theaters in Saint Petersburg and beyond.
This unique professional journey gives her a deep understanding of the artistic and technical demands of the profession. Today she brings this experience to her teaching, passing on invaluable practical knowledge and artistic insight to the next generation of dancers.
She has choreographed and staged performances presented in more than 10 countries and regularly serves as a jury member at international dance competitions.
Doc. Katarina Bućić (Associate Professor)
Associate Professor at the Institute for Artistic Dance (IUI) in Belgrade, where she is involved in both academic teaching and the development of contemporary dance education.
Doc. Bućić specializes in dance pedagogy, methodology of dance education and artistic research. Her work focuses on the relationship between practical dance training and theoretical approaches to movement, performance and teaching methodology.
As an educator and researcher, she is actively engaged in curriculum development, academic mentoring and the training of future dance educators and performers. Through her teaching she encourages dancers to combine strong technical foundations with critical thinking, artistic awareness and an understanding of contemporary dance practice.
Her work contributes to the ongoing development of dance education and artistic research in Serbia, connecting professional dance practice with academic study and interdisciplinary collaboration.


Ognjen Vučinić
Professor at the Institute for Artistic Dance (IUI) in Belgrade and professional dancer.
His artistic work focuses on contemporary dance practice, movement research and performance development, combining technical training with exploration of creative expression and physical awareness.
Alongside his academic teaching, he has collaborated on numerous stage productions, dance projects and artistic initiatives in Serbia and internationally, working with choreographers, dance companies and cultural institutions.
As an educator, he works closely with young dancers on developing movement vocabulary, musicality, stage presence and artistic interpretation, encouraging them to expand their physical and creative potential while building a strong professional foundation for their future careers in dance.
Who Can Apply
The program is open to dance students of different ages and levels who are motivated to train, learn and develop in an intensive artistic environment.
Participants will train together in a shared studio environment, creating a space where dancers can learn not only from the teachers but also from each other.
Less experienced dancers will have the opportunity to observe and work alongside more advanced participants, gaining inspiration and insight into the professional training process.
At the same time, more experienced dancers benefit from mentoring younger participants and strengthening their own artistic awareness.
Motivation, curiosity and respect for others are more important than age or level.
The most important principle of the program is to create a supportive and respectful atmosphere where every participant can grow and develop.

Certification
All participants will receive an official certificate of participation issued by the Institute for Artistic Dance (IUI).During the final days of the program, video recordings will be made to document the work and progress of the participants.

Terms and Conditions
By submitting the application form and participating in the IUI International Dance Intensive – Vranje 2026, the participant (or their parent/legal guardian) confirms that they have read, understood and agree to the following terms and conditions.
Participation and Health Responsibility
Participation in the program is voluntary. Dance training is a physically demanding activity and involves inherent risks of injury.
The organizers, teachers, staff, partners and hosting institutions shall not be held responsible or liable for any injuries, accidents, illnesses, health conditions or physical complications that may occur before, during or after participation in the program.
Participants take part in all classes, rehearsals, activities and training sessions at their own risk.
Each participant is responsible for ensuring that they are physically and medically able to participate in intensive dance training.
The organizers do not provide medical supervision and are not responsible for medical conditions that may arise during the program.
Medical Information and Emergency Care
Participants are responsible for providing accurate medical information in the application form, including allergies, medical conditions or injuries.
In case of injury or medical emergency, the organizers may contact emergency services or seek medical assistance if necessary.
Any medical treatment, transportation, medication or hospital costs are the sole responsibility of the participant or their parent/legal guardian.
The organizers are not responsible for any medical expenses related to participation in the program.
Personal Responsibility and Supervision
Participants are responsible for their own behavior, safety and well-being during the program.
The organizers do not assume legal guardianship or full-time supervision of participants.
Participants are responsible for themselves outside scheduled classes and official activities.
The organizers are not responsible for:
• participants during free time
• personal travel arrangements
• accommodation arranged independently by participants
• personal decisions or activities outside the official program
Parents or guardians of minors remain legally responsible for the participant at all times.
Personal Belongings
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings, equipment and valuables.
The organizers are not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal property during the program, including in studios, accommodation facilities, transportation or public spaces.
Accommodation and Meals
Accommodation and meals are organized for participants who select the residential package.
While meals are provided, the organizers do not guarantee accommodation of all dietary restrictions.
The organizers are not responsible for food allergies, intolerances, dietary reactions or medical issues related to meals provided during the program.
Participants with specific dietary or medical needs are responsible for managing their own requirements.
Conduct and Behavior
Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards teachers, staff, accommodation personnel and other participants.
Any behavior that disrupts the program, damages property, endangers other participants or shows lack of respect may result in immediate removal from the program.
In such cases no refund will be issued.
Participants may also be responsible for any damages caused to facilities, equipment or accommodation property.
Photography, Video and Media Use
During the program, photographs and video recordings may be taken for documentation and promotional purposes.
By participating in the program, participants (or their legal guardians) grant permission for the organizers to photograph, film and record them during classes, rehearsals and other program activities.
These materials may be used for:
• educational purposes
• promotional materials
• websites and social media
• press and media publications
• future program promotion
No financial compensation will be provided for the use of such materials.
Transportation
Transportation if organized as part of the program is provided for convenience only.
The organizers are not responsible for travel delays, transportation disruptions, accidents or circumstances beyond their control.
Participants remain responsible for their own travel arrangements outside the organized transportation.
Payments and Refund Policy
All participation fees are non-refundable.
Payment confirms the participant’s place in the program.
If a participant cancels, withdraws or decides not to attend after payment has been made, no refund will be issued.
The organizers are not responsible for any travel costs, accommodation reservations or other expenses incurred by participants.
Program Changes
The organizers reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the program if necessary, including but not limited to:
• schedule adjustments
• faculty changes
• accommodation arrangements
• class structure
• program activities
Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.
Force Majeure
The organizers shall not be held responsible for cancellation, interruption or modification of the program due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to:
• natural disasters
• government restrictions
• public health emergencies
• transportation disruptions
• political or security situations
• other unforeseen events
In such cases refunds may not be possible.
Legal Responsibility and Consent
Participants 18 years of age or older may sign the application form themselves.
Participants under 18 years of age must have the application form signed by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts full responsibility for the participant and agrees to all conditions of participation.
Acceptance of Terms
By signing the application form, the participant (or their parent/legal guardian) confirms that they:
• have read and understood these Terms and Conditions
• agree to participate under these conditions
• accept full personal responsibility for participation in the program
